This is an action-packed musical, full of fun and well known songs. It will have your feet tapping from the minute you arrive in the theatre.
Based in Australia the musical tells the story of two drag queens and a transgender woman, who contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a small town in the remote Australian desert. As they head west from Sydney aboard their lavender bus, Priscilla, and the three friends come to the forefront of a comedy of errors, encountering a number of strange characters, as well as incidents of homophobia, while widening comfort zones and finding new horizons.
It is funny, lively, colourful and action-packed from beginning to end. Certainly, a show ‘not to be missed’.
This was a huge success and exceeded all our expectations. The amount of energy and vitality our members showed left the audiences shouting for more, especially in the chorus numbers. The skipping sequence was a very exciting number which required a high degree of skill. The two dogs were very popular with our younger audiences and were well behaved enjoying their stardom.
Sarah Bayliss who played the Lead character Elle Woods has since been accepted for The London School of Musical Theatre.
